Test Method for Pull-Off Strength of Coatings Using Portable Adhesion Testers
The pull-off strength of a coating can be a crucial characteristic required in the specifications. This test method provides a standardized way of preparing and testing coated surfaces and the reporting results. It can be used with any portable apparatus that meets the necessary requirements for measuring the pull-off strength of a coating. Both standards require that the apparatus be calibrated at least annually. While a digital gauge is now required for testing per ABAA-T0002.
